I am Shannon, a lifelong yoga practitioner from Hawaii with a home practice.
I’ve spent the last 20 years traveling to India for one to 6 months at a time devoting myself to learning from the source, and am authorized by the Jois family to teach Ashtanga yoga. I earned a yoga philosophy certification through Loyola Marymount's Yoga Studies program. I've continued to expand my knowledge base with trainings in the styles of Yin and Restorative Yoga.
I’ve spent the last two decades taking my practice on the road with me as I've traveled domestically and internationally as a flight attendant. A life of travel has created challenges for my practice. I have struggled with lack of sleep, time zone changes, poor eating habits and the guilt of not maintaining my practice in the “traditional” manner. Over the years, I've refined a variety of habits, rituals and just general “tricks” to keep myself on the mat.
